Vikki is a palaeoceanographer and micropalaeontologist. Her work focuses on the role the oceans have played in global climate over the past million years. She has recently developed new palaeoceanography tools for reconstructing past sea ice and ocean structure in the Southwest Pacific, a critical location for ocean-atmosphere exchange of Carbon Dioxide. She has recently submitted her thesis on this topic, and will soon begin a Postdoctoral position at Environnements et Paleoenvironnements Oceaniques et Continentaux (EPOC) at the University of Bordeaux, France.
